Ministry of Education launches online column to combat confusion and disinformation

Versiunea în limba română

The Ministry of Education and Research announced the launch, starting this week, of a new public communication column - "EDU Information Point", a space dedicated to presenting verified information from the education system. The new column will be published on the ministry's social networks and will have a weekly frequency. According to the institution, the initiative comes in response to the increasing difficulty of the public to correctly follow information in education, much of which is perceived as technical, fragmented or insufficiently explained.

Combating erroneous interpretations

Ministry representatives claim that the new format aims to provide accessible and quick explanations about projects, regulations and administrative decisions. "We know that information in education can sometimes be difficult to follow or relatively technical. That is why we are launching the "EDU Information Point', a space dedicated to verified information in education, answers to questions regarding projects or documents issued by the ministry and clarification of insufficiently explained topics," the institution said. Through this column, the authorities aim to: increase the transparency of decisions; reduce misinformation; facilitate direct communication with students, parents and teachers.

Public pressure for clearer communication

The launch of the column comes in a context in which educational policies - from the structure of the school year to curricular reforms - have generated intense debates and, often, contradictory interpretations in the public space. Public communication specialists emphasize that such tools are becoming increasingly necessary, especially in a media ecosystem dominated by the rapid circulation of incomplete or out-of-context information.
